Announcing the Atlas of Scotland Tour
Announcing a book tour across the south of Scotland - plus the upcoming Colony of Artists weekend
I’m very happy to announce that I’ve been invited to take my Atlas of Scotland project on tour across the south of Scotland with the Royal Scottish Geographical Society.
I’ll be giving talks about the Atlas project in Dumfries, Galashiels, Ayr and Helensburgh, over a four day period from 22-25 September. This is part of the RSGS Inspiring People programme, which invites geographers, explorers, scientists, artists and more to speak about their passions.
If you haven’t seen the Atlas of Scotland project before, below is a wee introductory video. I also have copies of the Atlas available from my online shop.

Abbeyhill Colony of Artists
In other news, I’m going to be participating in this year’s Abbeyhill Colony of Artists in Edinburgh. The event sees homes in the Abbeyhill Colonies (near Easter Road) turned into open artist studios over the weekend of 20-21 September. The public are invited to look around the neighbourhood and meet the artists.
I’m really looking forward to taking part in this event for the first time. I’ll be exhibiting at 21 Maryfield Place along with two other artists. Click here for the full weekend programme.
Poetry collection to launch in Glasgow
In my last newsletter I wrote about designing a book cover for a new poetry collection celebrating the life of the 18th century Scottish poet Robert Fergusson.
The collection will launch later this month and there are currently two events planned with tickets available:
The Glasgow Launch on 10 September (only a few tickets left!)
(An Edinburgh launch is still to be confirmed)
